Six Months Old!

Today's the day my friends! Our sweet little peewee prince is six months old! Yes, that translates to half of one year, yikes! And I know I keep saying it, but the time is going too fast! It seems like only yesterday that I was marveling at my newborn in the hospital room, studying his every feature, rejoicing in every grunt and cry. It's really hard for me to think that this is my last baby, so I won't think it until I have to. We feel like a full family to be sure, some days and moments more than others, but we can't say for certain that we are "complete" yet, so until we can, the verdict is out. But enough about my emotional struggle as my baby gets bigger, just look what he can do these days! This video shows some of his rolling (the video was taken almost a month ago).
Sawyer is now sitting up, unassisted, with minimal tipping over, which definitely makes him more content during the awake hours. This video was taken just today.
He's been battling several colds in a row, complete with a bad cough, but we're hopeful that he's now on the up road. He was sleeping through the night before all the sickness, so we're really banking on a return to that schedule once the germs have left!
Blessings friends! We always love to hear from you! And happy six month birthday "Monkey"! There just are not words to express how happy we are to have you in our lives!

My View

During these dreary, winter days, when the outside world is shades of brown and gray and cold, I am taking a closer look at the beauty right inside my house. Spring flowers don't hold a candle to these blooms!

(When smiling, his tongue must always be out in Maori warrior style!)

Playing in my freshly (and rarely) made bed is a favorite game of Chloe's, hence the reason it is rarely made:).
(Chloe's eyes)
Oh, my precious Roo! What would I ever do without your sweet little face to kiss every day?!
(Emma's eyes)
Emma's hair is getting so long and beautiful these days! It's a booger to comb, thanks to its fine texture like mine, but the end product is very worth it!

Emma, my love, you simply must NOT grow up into the beautiful woman, inside and out, I know you will be! Please stay my little peanut of four forever!

I Timothy 6:6-10

Our pastor spoke on this passage last weekend. What a good reminder to chew on in these "recession" times. What do we really need? Something good to ask ourselves, and then ask ourselves again.

I Timothy 6:6-10
"
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."

Food and covering, food and covering... and God WILL provide.

Video

After many technical difficulties, trying again and again to download videos of Sawyer, here's our first success! Enjoy the prince in action!
p.s. be sure to pause the music first
