Mommy Talk

Mommy Talk question for May 7th, 2007

How much weight did you gain (w/picture if you are you brave enough!)
What did you like MOST about pregnancy?
What did you like the LEAST?

I gained 35 pounds with each of my pregnancies! I started out a bit underweight, so my doctor was pleased with this gain. My poor stomach skin though! I carry my babies ALL out front, as you can plainly see. My belly button has surrendered and now looks towards the floor. But stretch marks, mangled belly button and all, WHAT a blessing to be able to bear children!(above)38 weeks pregnant with Emma. She was born four days later.
37 weeks pregnant with Chloe. She was born four days later.
What I loved most about being pregnant? EVERYTHING! I loved the movement, the joy of knowing that life was being created and growing inside me, the antipation of meeting this little person, wondering who they would look like, experiencing my heart grow ten fold with each passing day, and it's still growing!
What I liked least about being pregnant? Just the aches and pains and difficulty sleeping towards the end mainly. Okay, the plumpness in the arms, thighs, hips and stomach was a bit much for lingering in front of the mirror too, but I knew it was all worth it!

OMGoodness did you carry out front! What a cute gi-normous belly! You are one of those mommies that you could see from the back and not be able to tell they were pregnant, but when you looked at them from the side, OH MAN! ADORABLE pictures! And, you don't have to do anything else for mommy talk. Just visit the site the week before and the new question for the following week will be there. Then, on Monday, do what you just did! It's a lot of fun, if I do say so myself!

You and I are SO similar! We both just LOVE being pregnant and the miracle that takes place in our bodies. (Of course, I think I complain a HECK of a lot more towards the end than you do!) You always make pregnancy look so easy!

My parents' computer is very slow so I can't see Emma's video yet. I'll check it out tomorrow from work.

I would love to email with you! My email is jennisajoy@juno.com And, don't you worry about Chloe. I hear lots of mommies who say that their kids never did crawl...just went right to walking. I think the reason my girls crawl earlier is because they're kind of petite and tiny. They don't have a lot of weight to carry around!

I just now re-read the comment you had on learning how to digital scrapbook. I'm just starting too, but it looks like it will be lots of fun, and not very messy! PLUS, it will be cheap, because there are TONS of websites out there that have freebies everyday!

First, you have to decide on software. I just chose Photoshop Elements 4.0, and got it new off of ebay for $28. There are a lot of different choices, so I would just do maybe a google search of "digital scrapbook software" and hopefully a lot of different reviews will come up that will help you decide what you need. I also ordered a book to help me learn it too...

If you go on my blog, the bottom 2 blogs under the "bloggies I cruise" are Designs by Selena and Ikea Goddess...these are 2 blog sites that search the internet daily for digital freebies that you can download for free.

Hope I was kind of helpful! I'm going to be getting my software in the mail today or tomorrow, so I'm excited. OH, and you can download free trials of Photoshop Elements 5.0 on the Adobe photoshop website. That's what I did to create what I did...I'm still learning...long way to go!

You only carried in your belly - not fair! I'm an all over pregnant mama...

I'm with you about the stretch marks and sagginess - my Papa calls my Mama's "battle scars"! So, so worth it.
