This past weekend, we had the rare pleasure of seeing one of my favorite childhood homes, both inside and out. To make a long story short, I wrote a letter to the current owners telling them our story behind the house, about how my parents bought the property in the early 80's and farmed it for ten years before getting to build their dream house on it. And about how our time there was cut shorter than we would have planned when my dad got sick and we had to move back to town. The owners, being the gracious, wonderful people that they are, invited us out for a visit. It was a day I'll never forget, such a special treat to feel so connected to my dad's dream again, to see the views he hoped he'd see into old age. Thank you, Gary and Nancy, for blessing our family with such a sweet day! |

What a wonderful blessing to be able to do that! Sarah I almost started to cry, I am sure this brought up a lot of feelings that were hard, it did for me and it wasn't even my house or my memories.
I am hoping you find peace and joy in knowing how very blessed you are with your family and your life.
I don't know exactly what your belief is on the subject, but I do believe that families can be together forever.
This weekend we head back to Utah for the first time in 3 years. Michael's step-dad's mother died yesterday and we are going to the funeral. I find that my faith in eternal families is always strengthened at times like these.
I love you and think about you often.
Great photos Seed! I can't believe how much the house has changed. They really made it cool. I like that it's white with a red barn. Very classic. Now I really hope you guys get to buy it someday. I'll see you next weekend.
Oh Sarah! How special! It looks almost exactly the same. I remember so many things about that house. What a special day for you all.
